Eastern Pipeline System
Our Eastern Pipeline System primarily serves Sunoco, Inc.(R&M)'s Northeast and Midwest U.S. operations and consists of:
- approximately 1,647 miles of refined product pipelines. Our refined product
pipelines transport refined products from Sunoco, Inc. (R&M)'s Philadelphia, PA,
Marcus Hook, PA, Eagle Point, NJ, and Toledo, OH refineries, as well as from third
parties, to markets in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. The
refined products transported in these pipelines include multiple grades of gasoline,
middle distillates (such as heating oil, diesel, and jet fuel), liquified petroleum gases (such as
propane and butane), refining feedstocks, and other hydrocarbons.
- a 123-mile wholly owned crude oil pipeline, from Maryville, Michigan to
refineries in the Toledo, Ohio area, including a Sunoco, Inc. owned refinery,
- a 9.4% interest in Explorer Pipeline Company, a joint venture that owns and
operates a 1,413-mile common carrier refined product pipeline. The system
originates from refineries in Texas and Louisiana and terminates in the Chicago

- a 31.5% interest in Wolverine Pipe Line Company, a joint venture that owns and
operates a 721-mile common carrier refined product pipeline, that originates from
refineries in the Chicago area and extends east to Detroit and into nothern Michigan.

- a 12.3% interest in West Shore Pipe Line Company, a joint venture that owns and
operates a 652-mile common carrier refined product pipeline, that originates from
refineries in the Chicago area to Madison and Green Bay Wisconsin; and
- a 14.0% interest in Yellowstone Pipe Line Company, a joint venture that owns
and operates a 655-mile common carrier refined product pipeline that originates
from refineries in the Billings, Montana area to Moses Lake, Washington.
