Environment & Safety

For Public Safety Officials

Volatile products, such as butane or propane, may form vapor clouds; if such products are burning, it may be wiser to allow them to burn until the fuel supply's stopped, rather than extinguishing the fire prematurely. The dispatcher at our 24-hour emergency phone can tell you what product is in the line at the site of the emergency so that together we can make a decision about putting out a fire.

You should also check the official Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) distributed to you for the actual characteristics of the product which may be involved. For your specific area, detailed maps have been furnished. Please refer to them.

Otherwise, you can contact us.
